Thinking winter isn’t the right time to buy or sell a home? Think again.
It’s true, traditionally winter has been the “dead zone” when it comes to real estate sales. However, this time around ending 2015, inventory is exceptionally low. On average, as much as 50% less homes are available this year than in previous years.
To make matters more interesting, looming threats of rising mortgage interest rates urge those ready-buyers to push the buy button when the perfect home comes to market. As recently published by NAR’s economists, sales from the national averages are at their highest since 2006 and available home inventory at it’s lowest.
What does this mean? Now is the best time to buy or sell. Prices are trending up and there are many qualified buyers watching the market with hawk-eye precision for the right home to hit the market. Many new listings are garnering high competition with multiple offers, going pending within a matter of days and by the way, driving up the values.
Buying or Selling. Who you work with matters. The market can be complicated for both buyers and sellers. Pricing correctly, navigating multiple offers, and contract negotiation can be stressful.  This is not the time to go at it alone.
